Marissa Behuniak

Marissa began her Ballet training with Diana Harris of Dance Arts and then Trisha Thomas of Dance Academy of Connecticut. Her Pre-professional training continued with the New Haven Ballet under the artistic direction of both Philip Otto and John C. Carney. She also attended the pre-professional summer intensives at BalletMet inColombus, Ohio and The Nashville Ballet in Nashville, TN.  Graduating high school early to become a trainee with the Ajkun Ballet Theatre in New York City, Marissa had the opportunity to perform at both Symphony Space and City Center in Karien and the Amazons and Pequita. She also taught dance through Arts in Education, an after school program for kids in the public school system.  After many Injuries and the desire to understand more about preventative care for the body, she attended Branford Hall Career Institute for her certification in Massage Therapy.  Marissa recently completed the Professional Semester at Broadway DanceCenter with a concentration in Musical Theater. While back in NYC she also had the opportunity to perform with Buglisi Dance Theatre in Table of Silence:Project 9/11 at Lincoln Center.
