Magic Toyshop Rehearsal: Sunday, October 4th

Hello all!

It was so wonderful to begin rehearsals this past week and to get comfortable with this year’s Magic Toyshop family. HOWEVER, we would like to remind everyone that our goals include putting on a professional level production which requires that all cast members be aware and informed all of the pertinent information week to week.

Please make sure you are subscribed to the blog so that all updates arrive in your email! This blog will be the main avenue of communication. All dancers and their parents/guardians are responsible for reading before each Sunday. This will allow Sundays to be free for dancing and growing as a show, learning parts and creating the magic, rather than answering questions whose answers were readily available in advance! We only have a limited number of rehearsals and we’d like to maximize them for the benefit of the show.

It should be noted that last week’s post included information about t-shirt sizes, to which less than 2% of you replied to by the Saturday deadline. Starship aims to provide a professional production and we appreciate the reciprocity of the cast members and families to be successful.

Magic Toyshop Auditions will be held this Sunday, September 13th at 2pm.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to the Community Center in Guilford, CT (32 Church Street).

You should arrive in ballet attire, with your hair secured. If you do not have the proper attire, please wear clothing you can easily move in and can pin a number to the front of. Please bring cash or check for your audition fee.

We are accepting dancers aged 7 and up. We will gradually dismiss dancers as the audition progresses. If your dancer is 7-9 years old, expect to stay roughly 1/2 hour. If your dancer is older, please expect them to stay for an hour to an hour and a half. If you’re looking to be part of Toyshop as one of the adult cast members, please come to the audition! We don’t make you dance (too much)!

We are excited for another wonderful year of Magic Toyshop!
