CCBT INTIVE TRIBUTARY_ DRACULA
The Classical Contemporary Ballet Theatre (CCBT) is a professional ballet
company based in New Haven, Connecticut. CCBT is proud to announce its premiere of two diverse ballets and repertory. Dracula excerpts which celebrate culture and diversity through this gothic classic; telling the story of Dracula’s attempt to relocate from Transylvania to England. CCBT will also present Tributary which pays homage to the social and political progress of the Civil Rights Movement, a historic moment in our nation’s history in which citizens of diverse backgrounds found common ground in their belief in equality and fairness. The program will incorporate local youth from the Greater New Haven community through free educational workshops, providing students with the opportunity to perform and dance along side of CCBT professional artists from New York City, Boston and Connecticut. Participating youth are from the following community groups: Starship Dance Theater, Ballet for Young People and the Boys and Girls Club of Greater New Haven.
